Why Impington Village College?

This is a great time to be joining Impington Village College. The College has continued to innovate and deliver academic success over recent years and, as a result, secured a good Ofsted report in November 2019 and our sixth form, Impington International College, was once again recognised for its outstanding provision. Our College is ranked in the top 100 UK state schools and was crowned the top non-selective International Baccalaureate (IB) provider in the UK (Sunday Times Parent Power 2020).

At the College, efforts are focused on developing culture and experience for both the benefit of staff and students, whilst retaining high standards and expectations for all. A focus on wellbeing has had a tangible impact on staff experience at the College and the enrichment programme (iCAS) and curriculum model, implemented in 2018, has been very positive for students.

The College has a highly efficient, effective and dynamic leadership team; a growing and influential team of lead practitioners and middle leaders, and a professional development programme that is second to none. At Impington Village College you will be valued and supported and have the opportunity to achieve success, enjoy your vocation and be invested in, so that you can become an outstanding practitioner and/or leader. We have a vast number of opportunities for Continuing Professional Development (CPD) at the College, and we encourage all of our staff members to push themselves, creating an environment of consistent growth and development.

With a strong focus on wellbeing for all members of staff, we will ensure that during your time as part of the Impington Village College community, you feel well cared for and supported within a compassionate environment to meet the varying challenges that you may face. This includes a full wellbeing directory for staff, a commitment to flexible working and a reduced allocation for teachers to support with workload and professional development.

We look forward to welcoming you to Impington Village College, and would love to show you around our wonderful site and facilities. To arrange a tour or meeting with the Principal, please contact us.

Morris Teaching School Alliance

Its schools and colleges share and collaborate in a partnership, believing that education in the region should be highly regarded across our nation and beyond. Impington Village College is the lead college in the newly established Morris Teaching School Alliance, providing staff with a range of opportunities for professional development.
