DIGITAL PHOTOGRAPHY - AN INTRODUCTION

Brief Description:

Do you want to know more about digital photography and be able to take your camera off its auto setting?  This course is suitable for learners with no or very little experience with photography / digital photography, who would like to become more confident when using their camera.  It is also suitable for those wishing to develop their skills further.  You will become familiar with the settings of your digital camera and learn how to create and edit good quality photographs.

 

You will have the opportunity to learn about:

·         Memory cards & file management

·         Menu systems, optical and digital zoom

·         Scene modes, composition & the rule of thirds

·         Priority modes, auto & program modes

·         Depth of field, shooting static & moving objects

·         Formatting & printing images

·         Landscape photography

·         Street photography and cityscapes

Course Aims:

·         Understand the basics of digital photography

·         Become familiar with the settings and menus of a digital camera

·         Produce images of a reasonable standard and make minor edits to those images

·         Ready images for producing good quality prints

Brief Description:

Do you want to know more about digital photography and be able to take your camera off its auto setting?  This course is suitable for learners with no or very little experience with photography / digital photography, who would like to become more confident when using their camera.  You will become familiar with the settings of your digital camera and learn how to produce good quality images.  Weekly assignments will be set around the theme of night shots.
