Dear Parents and Students

You will be aware that we have run a subsidised service bus from the Ely area to Impington International Sixth Form for the last two Academic years.

This service is provided at a considerable cost to the College and is utilised by fewer than 12 students on average per day.

Unfortunately we have been informed by the Bus Company, Greys of Ely that due to a change of route provision by the coach company the cost of this service to the College will rise by approximately 25% from April 2017. As a result the costs of the bus service have reached a level which is not financially viable for the College to support, therefore we have taken the regrettable decision to terminate this service from the end of the Summer Term 2017.

From September 2017 students and parents will need to make their own travel arrangements to access educational provision at the college.

We regret having to make the decision but in the current financial climate we are no longer in a position to carry the significant costs associated.
