Primary Schools get cooking!
On Tuesday IVC welcomed 20 Year 5 pupils from Histon & Impington Junior School to take part in a Historic Food Catering workshop as part of the Impington75 Festival. The workshop was an opportunity to learn about food during WW2, and what ingredients were substituted or rationed. There was also a hands on cooking workshop where the students made carrot cookies from a wartime recipe.
The workshop was enabled by Lottery funding which is supporting a range of events as part of IVC 75th Anniversary celebrations. If you know of a primary school who would also like to take part in a free historic food workshop please get in touch with firstname.lastname@example.org
