Impington Village College celebrates another year of tremendous GCSE results

Students and staff at Impington Village College are celebrating today following another set of spectacular results continuing to build on the success of the last few years and the earlier successes of the international sixth form, Impington International College.

Key headlines include:

  • 80% of students achieved 4+ in Maths and 85% achieved 4+ in English
  • 43% of all grades achieved were at 7+
  • 30% of all grades achieved were at Grade 8/9
  • 15% of all grades achieved were the new Grade 9
  • 21 students achieved at least five Grade 9s, with three students achieving straight Grade 9s
  • All students achieved at least one GCSE grade, including those who followed an entry level pathway alongside the mainstream curriculum
  • Based on the cohort's achievements in comparison with previous years, we expect that all students will again have made outstanding progress when the progress8 measure is released

Principal Ryan Kelsall said "Once again we are delighted for our students, who have made outstanding progress. It is testament to their hard work, and the dedication, expertise and support of our staff that the students are able to achieve such great results, regardless of their starting points."
