Part Time Receptionist/Administrator

8 hours per week – Fridays 8am to 4pm, term time only + 5 training days pro rata
Scale 4 point 7 – 11 £19,554 - £21,166 pa actual approx. £3,600 – 3,900

We are part of the Morris Education Trust (MET), a recently formed and fast-growing multi-academy trust currently including Impington Village College and Witchford Village College.

We are looking for an Administrator to work 8 hours a week every Fridays on a term time only basis from 8am to 4pm plus 5 training days, pro rata.  You will be responsible for carrying out the duties at reception and support the PA to the Principal and Vice Principal with a variety of administration duties.

We are looking for a colleague with excellent organisational and administration skills who has experience of working in an office environment.  You will have good people skills and be able to work accurately with excellent attention to detail.

Job Description
 

Post Title:

Receptionist/Administrative Assistant

Post Purpose:

To support the PA to the Principal and Vice Principal with reception and various administration tasks

Reporting to:

PA to the Principal and Vice Principal

Responsible for:

Reception

  • All correspondence and communication, including Office e-mail, SIMS in touch, telephone response as required with parents, students and staff
  • Provide reception support using the full range of telephone answering functions
  • Secretarial function for College matters
  • Overseeing refreshments for meetings and College functions.

Administration 

  • To support the PA to the Principal and Vice Principal with general administrative duties, such as letters/InTouch communications etc.
  • General administrative support – all office matters such as copying, post, letters, ordering supplies and equipment. This list is not exhaustive and may vary.
  • Data maintenance – basic record maintenance for all student records

Other Responsibilities

  • To play a full part in the life of the College and Trust community, to support its distinctive mission and ethos
  • Promote actively the Trust’s corporate policies
  • Comply with the Trust’s Health & Safety Policy
  • To participate in the College’s appraisal scheme
  • To be aware of safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and vulnerable adults and to report any concerns in accordance with the Trust’s Safeguarding/Child Protection policies
  • To undertake regular safeguarding/child protection/adult protection training as required by the Trust.
