MET Living – Impington and Witchford Sports Centre is looking to recruit specialist Group Exercise Instructors in a variety of disciplines to join our team, offering both permanent and flexible cover opportunities.

Opportunities include Yoga, Pilates, Functional Range Conditioning and Specialist Dance instructors.

With over 1500 members across two sites and 60 classes per week we are looking for instructors who are enthusiastic, self-motivated and customer focussed in order to continue the growth of our studio timetable.

You will deliver exceptional group exercise classes providing each member with a positive experience, maintaining the health and safety and wellbeing of all customers and the efficient running of the centre timetable through the METL Service Level Agreement.

METL is growing and so is its Group Exercise providing ever-growing opportunities for classes.

With a dynamic approach we are keen to listen and learn from our instructors to ensure we are moving with trends in the industry. Therefore, we welcome all instructors of a variety of disciplines to apply.

As a self-employed instructor you will hold the relevant qualifications, Professional Indemnity and Liability Insurances of at least £2,000,000 and maintain your own accounts invoicing METL at the end of each month and being responsible to pay your own income tax, national insurance and public liability insurance.

Freelance Group Exercise Instructor

Post Purpose:

Deliver exceptional group exercise classes providing each member with a positive experience. Ensure the health and safety of all customers and the efficient running of the centre timetable following the METL Service Level Agreement.

Reporting to:

Fitness Manager

Working time:

Permanent classes and cover options available

Place of Work:

Your principal place of work will be MET-Living Impington Sports Centre but you may be required from time to time to work at other locations within the Morris Education Trust

Salary/ Grade:

£25  per hour invoiced each month

Enhanced DBS

Operational Responsibilities

Plan and deliver group exercise classes based on the requirement set by MET living being responsible for the safety and wellbeing of all members and other staff ensuring gym rules and fire/emergency procedures are adhered to.

To receive customers and visitors in a friendly and helpful manner, in person.

Represent MET Living professionally to the public both in person and on social media sites following MET Living Service level Agreement.

Maintain and supply proof of necessary level of qualification ensuring sufficient CPD is completed and the ethical code of conduct set by REPS is followed.

Maintain and supply proof of Professional Indemnity  and Liability Insurances of at least £2,000,000 and maintain your own accounts invoicing MET Living at the end of each month and being responsible to ay your own income tax, national insurance and public liability  insurance.

The instructor must wear smart/professional and appropriate clothing whilst teaching.

Help to maintain the gym and studio cleaning standards ensuring that the studio is vacated at the end of the session retuning all equipment to its rightful place ready for the next class.

Help to promote classes in order to reach class utilisation stands of 75%.

Safeguarding

To be aware of safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and vulnerable adults and to report any concerns in accordance with the Trust’s Safeguarding/Child Protection policies

To undertake regular safeguarding/child protection/adult protection training as required by the Trust.
