Invite to Oakington Rural Travel Hub Workshop - 24/07
When: Tuesday 24th July, 6-8pm
What: Oakington Rural Travel Hub workshop
Where: Cottenham Sports Pavilion, Recreation Ground, Lambs Lane, Cottenham, Cambridge CB24 8TB
A gentle reminder that we are hosting a workshop on the proposals for a pilot Rural Travel hub in Oakington – small transport interchanges at key locations in South Cambridgeshire, allowing more people to access sustainable transport networks.
The workshop will discuss the potential benefits and issues of a Rural Travel Hub in Oakington, along with discussing possible features. All feedback is welcome and we have invited local councillors and representatives from education, transport and environmental groups.
A previous feasibility report discussed a possible hub in Oakington near Station Road and adjacent to the Guided Busway route, and contemplates secure cycle parking and cycle lockers, 41 car parking spaces and a bus turnaround stop for the Citi 6 service alongside a drop off area. More information about Rural Travel Hubs is available here: https://www.greatercambridge.org.uk/transport/transport-projects/rural-travel-hubs/(https://www.greatercambridge.org.uk/transport/transport-projects/rural-travel-hubs/)
Please let us know if you can attend the workshop as soon as you can, as places are limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis.
