I hope that you all managed to enjoy the October Half Term break! I can’t believe we are already in the third month of the academic year, but I am thrilled that we have so much to celebrate within our learning community and many exciting events coming up before we finish for the calendar year.
Lights! Curtain! Action!
There is so much good news to share from our Sixth Form’s Performance School this week! If you were walking through Grand Arcade in Cambridge last Sunday, then you may have seen our talented students performing in the shopping mall’s atrium. Our Performance School was honoured to be invited to take part in Grand Arcade’s week-long event called Let’s Go Circular, focusing on the Circular Economy, and performed an interpretive flash-mob style dance routine exploring the effects of consumerism on the planet. Congratulations to all students who took part – you are such an asset to our College.
Our Performance School’s alumni have just as much of an impressive track record. Most recently, we have heard from seven of our former students who are currently starring on the West End! From The Phantom of the Opera to Mary Poppins and Heathers The Musical – I am pleased to see they are building extremely successful careers for themselves.

Well it is for our students who took part in the Mathematical Olympiad for Girls recently! Huge congratulations to 15 of students who displayed amazing performances, with 6 receiving merits and 6 distinctions. It is a true testament to our students’ skills, as most schools will only ever enter one or two candidates. A special mention has to go to Year 13 student, Kat G., for achieving the highest score of the whole event!
Our PE department has worked hard to ensure that there is a sport activity to suit everyone at the College. If you haven’t already done so, I encourage you to visit the PE department’s Autumn Bullet, which includes a timetable of all of our sports clubs, alongside achievements from the previous term, sporting trips and information on upcoming taster sessions.
