Impington Village College

Where are they now?

At IVC, we recognise that you, our alumni, have gone on to have amazing lives and careers, taking you across the world to reach your goals, gaining families along the way. Through our increasing connections, we have been able to produce a document titled “Where are they now?” which details the biographies of some of our alumni members. This is not only incredibly interesting, but it is extremely useful for current students. It enables them to see what other people have achieved beyond College, therefore providing them with a passion to pursue their own dreams.

  • David Attmore

    Economics student; University of Surrey

After leaving IVC, David went to Long Road Sixth Form College to do his A-Levels. He achieved an A* in Economics, an A in Mathematics (statistics) and an A in Psychology.

David then decided to go to the University of Surrey to study Economics further. He is currently in his second year and really enjoying all aspects of university life. He has the role of Vice-President of StagTV (the campus TV station) and relishes doing something that is different from his course. As part of the degree, he has the opportunity to do a year in industry, where he is hoping to get a place at the Office for National Statistics.

During the summer of 2012, David went to Uganda with a local youth group to do some charity work and to experience the culture. He thoroughly enjoyed his time out there and managed to get in 3 games of football, in which his team lost two of them against teams where the players were playing barefoot.
