Welcome to Impington Village College!

Thank you for taking the time to visit our website which we hope enables you to gain further insight into and information about our busy and bustling College. We are very proud of our work and achievements here and we are constantly seeking new ways to improve the College for the benefit of our students. In 2011, the College enjoyed another record-breaking year of Key Stage 4 results – using the overall 5 A*-C GCSEs measure it was the fifth year of such success. We were also delighted to learn that the progress made by students placed us in the top 20% of schools in England. All of this shows our determination to challenge and support our students to achieve their best.

Importantly, we also recognise that academic results are only one part of a great school. We are an IB World School and share the International Baccalaureate's mission in aiming to develop 'inquiring, knowledgeable and caring young people who help to create a better and more peaceful world through intercultural understanding and respect'. This mission transects our work in classrooms and beyond. We want our students to be involved in good and active work and learning throughout their time at the College and it is why there is always so much on offer for them.

Impington Village College became an Academy in February 2012 and we are passionate in our belief that this change will allow us to continue our work to be a truly great school.

If you ever feel there are ways we can improve further, please do not hesitate from contacting me. We listen and we want to learn. I look forward to hearing from you.

Robert Campbell

Principal

Welcome

We are the current Student Ambassadors of Impington Village College. Our role is to represent the student body and uphold the values and ethos of the College. Whilst being ambassadors we have helped at Open Evenings, Parents' Evenings and visited primary schools to talk to and take questions from prospective students. Being an ambassador at IVC has been a great honour, a fulfilling experience and has taught us many life skills including leadership and teamwork. IVC is a place filled with life, virtuosity and talent; it is a place where you can truly be yourself and be accepted for who you are. Being in Year 11 not only means GCSEs and preparation for sixth form, it also means cherishing the time we have left with each other. Our experiences here are no doubt unforgettable; through our time here, we've met some of the most amazing people, inspirational teachers and loyal friends. IVC has given us so much more than just an education - it has taught us honesty, dedication, and most importantly, respect.

And finally, life at IVC is a chapter of our lives that we wish could never end.
